Why a calendar workflow
In US equities, time is a first-class input. Earnings, macro prints, IR days, and buyback windows reshape risk/reward. Without a calendar you are reactive to headlines.
tkrhub calendar aggregates event types you can cross-check on the desk and each stock page.
A 10-minute weekly ritual
Pick a fixed cadence (Sunday night or Monday pre-open):
- Open Calendar for this week + next
- Filter by type:
- Earnings — holdings & watchlist names
- Macro — CPI, FOMC, payrolls, etc.
- IR / capital return — investor days, ex-dividend dates
- Flag high-priority dates in watchlist notes (synced when signed in)
Before the print: three prep cards
For each upcoming report, prepare:
| Question | Where on tkrhub |
|---|---|
| What is priced in? | Analyst ratings / research shelf |
| What did guidance say last time? | Latest 10-Q or 8-K in filings |
| What is sector context? | Desk sector radar & movers |
On report day you are testing a view, not starting from zero.
Interpreting the reaction
Price action ≠ fundamental quality. Useful patterns:
- Beat + sell — weak guide or expectations too high
- Miss + rally — pessimism priced; guide improves
- Thin after-hours — wait for the next session open
Jump from the calendar to the stock chart & news; pull the fresh 8-K (Item 2.02) when it hits.
Pair calendar with SEC filings
Calendar = when; filings = what:
- Calendar pins the date
- After the print, check filings for 8-K / 10-Q
- Deep read in the in-app EDGAR viewer
Guests vs members
- Guests — calendar, desk, filing text & headlines (read-only)
- Members — watchlist sync, zh news, AI extracts for speed (still not advice)
